April's general membership meeting is one of the most important of the 2017-2018 Club year because members will vote on the proposed recipients of the funds raised during 2017. ASSOCIATION OF MAY COURT CLUBS OF CANADA DINNER
Saturday May 5, 2018
The AMCCC dinner is a highlight of our year, and we may still have a seat on the free bus taking members to this special event, hosted by the Oakville MCC in Burlington. The dinner is part of the annual conference of the nine chapters of the Club, which is attended by the President of our club and one other delegate. Dinner is open to all members, and it isn't often that the meeting is this near to St. Catharines, enabling so many of us to meet May Courters from across the province. Our Oakville MCC chapter’s going to present a really great evening out for all of us. To find out more, contact us.
FIRST THURSDAY - MEMBERS' COFFEE SOCIAL
Thursday May 3, 2018. 9:30-11:00 a.m.
Perkins Family Restaurant 89 Meadowvale Drive, St. Catharines.
Cost: Buy your own refreshments
Beginning in May, the Club is offering a regular monthly opportunity for members to socialize informally. As the name "First Thursday" suggests, the Club will hold a drop-in coffee gathering at Perkins Family Restaurant (near Fairview Mall) on the first Thursday of every month.
First Thursdays will be completely informal - no business agenda, no registration. Just come along and chat with other May Courters over a coffee, tea or other beverage, and treats as you wish. Of course, it will be a great opportunity to catch up on MCC events and, when possible, an opportunity to register for forthcoming activities.
Each month a reminder will be sent to members in advance, which will invite you to RSVP simply so we can give Perkins an idea of numbers in advance.
MCC bridge players are reminded to have all your May Court games played and scores called in no later than Wednesday June 6, 2018. This is one week prior to the Spring Lunch on Wednesday June 13.
