VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES for members and Friends of the may court club

A CHRISTMAS TO REMEMBER
Preparation: Monday November 12 - Friday November 16, 2017
Staffing the display and selling tickets: Friday November 16 - Friday December 8, 2017

Background
For over thirty years, MCCSC has presented A Christmas to Remember, a display of decorated Christmas trees and other seasonal decor and products in a St. Catharines mall. Each item in the raffle has been sponsored or donated by a local business, organization, or individual. During a three-week period, volunteers sell raffle tickets to mall visitors, and the grand draw takes place in time to deliver the gifts to winners (courtesy of Beatties). In recent years, Fairview Mall has been our anchor sponsor and our gracious host for the event. See the list of sponsors and donors.

Volunteer Activity
During the week leading up to the Grand Tree Lighting, volunteers set up the display of prizes and decorate the many prize Christmas trees. For the following three weeks, shifts of volunteers staff the display and sell tickets to mall visitors. Volunteers select the number of shifts and days worked in advance, and according to shift availability.

Take Part
Non-members (women, men, students) who are interested in participating should email volunteer@maycourtstcatharines.ca and we'll get back to you for a no-obligation chat. May Court Club members should contact JoAnne C. (see Membership Directory for contact details).

Socialize
Immediately after the Tree Lighting Ceremony (Friday Nov 16, 7:00 p.m.), and in celebration of the successful launch of another "Trees" fundraiser, volunteers and May Courters enjoy a sociable drink at a nearby location, announced nearer the time.
